Use this interactive activity to encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about measuring with base ten blocks. Students can try these activities on their own or in pairs.

Goal

Instructions for Use

Base Ten Blocks allows students to model 10s and 1s.

To use Base Ten Blocks, click on the place value chart to change the backdrop of the workspace. Click on a tens block and drag it into the workspace. To remove a block, drag it to the recycling bin.

Click on the tools on the top panel to select and drag, rotate, lasso blocks to group them, break larger blocks into the next size down, or glue together smaller blocks to form the next size up.

Break the tens block into ones. Add a second tens block. Have students model a 2-digit number using tens and ones.
