Lesson 4 - Exploring Probability with Dice
To encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about Exploring Probability with Dice, here are some games and interactive activities they can do on their own or in pairs.
Make reasonable predictions about a probability experiment.
Demonstrate an understanding that predictions don't always come true.
Instructions for Use
Probability lets students experiment with probability by rolling dice.
To use Probability, start by selecting the dice. Choose the number of spins - 1, 5, or 10. Click the "Spin" button. A tally chart records the results of each spin. Press the "Clear Tally" button to clear the results and start again.
Select the "Make Dice" button and click in the radio buttons to choose the numbers of each face of the dice. Select the "New Dice" button to choose different set amounts on the face of the dice.
