Use this interactive activity to encourage your child to have fun on the Web while learning how to communicate about 2-D shapes.
Goal
Describe attributes of 2-D shapes.
Instructions for Use
Virtual Pinboard lets your child draw 2-D shapes.
To use Virtual Pinboard, use the up and down buttons to decide how many vertices the shape will have. Click the "Redraw" button. Use the "Rescale regular shape" slider to make the shape larger or smaller. Change the colour by moving the sliders. Change the opacity by moving the slider. Click on any of the red points on the shape and drag them to a new location on the grid to change the shape. Describe attributes of the 2-D shapes you create.
