Lesson 3 - Exploring Doubles and Doubles Plus One

Use these interactive games activities to encourage students to have fun on the Web while exploring doubles and doubles plus one. Students can try these activities on their own or in pairs.

 

Goal

Use double facts to determine larger sums.

 

Instructions for Use

 

Adding Doubles to 20 lets students practice adding doubles.

To use Adding Doubles to 20, input the answers in the text boxes. Click the "Check Answers" button to see if the answers are correct.

 

Adding Doubles Plus One lets students practice adding doubles plus one.

To use Adding Doubles Plus One, input the answers in the text boxes. Click the "Check Answers" button to see if the answers are correct.

 

Dartboard Game lets students use double facts to find larger sums.

To use the Dart Board Game, click "Play the game". Look at the target number. Figure out which number doubled equals the target number. Click on the dart and then click on the outer space of the dartboard next to the number that you double. The outer spaces on the dartboard are double the value of the inner ones.
