Lesson 3 - Measuring in Centimetres

Use these interactive games and activities to encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about measuring in centimetres. Students can try these activities on their own or in pairs.

Estimate, measure, and record linear dimensions.

 

Instructions for Use

Measure It lets students estimate, measure, and record linear dimensions.

To use Measure It, look at how long the red line is. Click on the correct answer. After students have mastered the first level, try more difficult levels.

 

Estimating Metric Length prompts students to use metric units to measure length.

To use Estimating Metric Length, click the "Units" or "Measure" button. To use Units, click "cm" to use centimetres. Drag the ruler to the line. Measure the length of the line. Type in the length in centimetres and press the "Enter" key. Click the "New Problem" button for the next question.
